Dr. Jason gets down on his patient's level to make him feel less intimidated.
Why it matters
We believe Fear Free is an important movement in the veterinary community, and are proud to be a part of it. The idea behind the Fear Free movement is that your pet's stress levels matter a lot - both for their emotional and physical well being. Many animals get stressed when they visit a veterinarian. Stress levels impact a pet's physiology, changing their heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature. This is a problem, as these systems are used to assess your pet's health. Stress can make a veterinary professional believe there is a more serious health problem when really stress is the culprit, or worse, can mask a real health problem. We practice Fear Free techniques because we believe your pet's healthcare and wellness is far too important to do anything less!
